Jonathan Green has written an e-book set in the Sniper Elite game universe entitled, Nazi Zombie Army: Götterdämmerung. Seems right up our street, and today (4th March) you can download it for free here.

Something to look forward to...
"During the early hours of June 6th 1944 a bloody but victorious offensive took place in occupied Western Europe that would claim thousands of lives. Codenamed 'Operation Overlord' the armies of the combined allied forces would begin their long push to Berlin, with the aim of bringing down the despised Nazi regime. But the chilling realities of Hitler's true intentions are exposed, to create a force that can never be beaten, a 4th Reich - The New World Order. A team of Nazi doctors and scientists were charged with generating a superior race. Their experiments and research would produce unspeakable evil and change the face of humanity forever. A small select brigade of soldiers from the British 3rd Infantry Division, under the command of the battle hardened Captain Bathurst embark on a dangerous quest to liberate Europe. Fighting their way through the French countryside, villages and war ravaged towns. Every advance they discover increasingly strange events until they reach an abandoned research facility where the true horrors begin..."

media: danger 5
A rather bizarre online serial entitled Danger 5: The Diamond Girls is currently showing online. Set in an unusual 1960's inspired WW2 it is probably a bit(!) off-beat for Geheimkrieg, but if you like Weird War Two, Thunderbirds and spoof 1960's spy series then this is for you...
miniatures: reaper miniatures
Some more German zombies this time from Reaper Miniatures in their wonderfully diverse Chronoscope range. Bit unusual in that they are armed but useful enough and wonderfully detailed models. The range also includes an excellent zombie officer and zombie Hitler.

Wonderfully evocative animated short based around the Trenches sequence from the film Sucker Punch...
secret weapons: kv-vi behemoth
Whilst undertaking some research for Geheimkrieg: Ost I came across some information on secret Soviet tank designs including the huegly impressive KV-VI Behemoth.
Unfortunately its operational history was not as spectacular as its looks: "The first prototype was completed in December 1941 and was rushed into the defense of Moscow. In its first action during a dense winter fog, the rear turret accidentally fired into the center turret. The resulting explosion completely destroyed the vehicle. The second prototype was completed in January 1942, and was sent to the Leningrad front. This one had indicators installed to show when another turret was in the line of fire. In its initial attack on the Germans, the tank broke in half when crossing a ravine."
Crew: 15 men and one Commissar. The KV-VI was nicknamed "Stalin's Orchestra" by the few Germans that encountered it because of the variety of weapons it deployed."
Modeler Brian Fowler made an impressive 1/35th model which he describes here. It may serve to inspire some of you to make your own Behemoth in 20mm or 15mm...
secret history: telepathic nazi dogs
A variety of news sources are reporting on Dr Bondeson's research into Nazi attempts to train dogs to 'talk' telepathically and undertake vital war work. Read more here.
miniatures: blue moon manufacturing
Not quite sure whether these would be of any use in Geheimkrieg, but Blue Moon Manufacturing produce an interesting set of 14 Zombie WWII characters including Roosevelt, Hitler, Patton, Stalin, Goering, De Gaulle, Montgomery, Mao, Himmler, Yamamoto, Rommel, Eisenhower, Churchill and Mussolini...

miniatures: pendraken miniatures
This blog entry on Javier at War caught my eye using the 10mm Pendraken dungeon set and various manufacturers 10mm models for a Castle Wolfenstein style game. Great for a small game if you have limited space, Geheimkrieg can easily be used for this sort of game by designating specific spaces or tiles in place of terrain squares with its non-measured movement system.

miniatures: majic miniatures
6mm has traditionally been a popular scale for WW2 games over the years but not so much for WWW2. However Majic Miniatures have stepped into the breach with an interesting range of 1/285th models including Nazi UFO's Amerika bombers and Gear Krieg style walkers, as well as zombies and US and German super troops and rocketeers. John Lambshead has painted up a nice Amerika bomber here.
Majic also produce an interesting looking game called UFO Interception, the original game setting a P-51 against the Roswell UFO, the follow up a P-61A Black Widow against three foo fighters over the Rhineland.

miniatures: tqd castings
Continuing with 20mm Weird War Two, TQD Castings 1946 range is available from C-P Models and includes several blisters of infantry armed with late war and experimental weapons in the M1956 Stalhelm that was designed during the war but not worn until the creation of the Nationale Volksarmee in 1956. The Nachtjadgkommando with infra-red weapons are especially nice.

miniatures: elheim figures
More 20mm, this time from Elheim Figures who produce one pack of German zombies in their Pulp-Horror codes. They also make some excellent historical WW2 figures which are well worth checking out.

miniatures: cp models
20mm might not be the obvious scale for Geheimkrieg, but it has a lot going for it, especially the plethora of 1/72 models and 20mm historical figures. You could convert any 'secret history' stuff but if you do go down this route, you'll be pleased to find these 20mm German zombies (and other useful weirdness) from CP Models.

miniatures: studio junger
French company Studio Junger have released a new German "super soldier", a 55mm resin model somewhat reminiscent of the lead "character" from the file SS-Doomtrooper. Whilst it does not fit anything in the current Geheimkrieg background, it does bear a passing resemblance to some of the failed Nazi experiments rushed into service with mixed results on the Eastern Front...
